Prince George's County officer suspended for DUI

In a reminder that no one is above the law, a Prince George's County police officer is facing criminal charges and has been suspended from the force. The officer crashed his cruiser into a jersey barrier while off-duty and allegedly was driving under the influence of alcohol. We always assume that the police are above scrutiny, but as this case shows, there are always valid concerns.

Free rides on Halloween to Prince George's County callers

Halloween is a fun time for children and adults alike. Once the trick-or-treating is over, there are parties for the adults, full of wine and spirits - and not just the spooky kind. However, according to the president of the Washington Regional Alcohol Program (WRAP), it's also a night when over 50 percent of people killed in traffic accidents in the U.S. are due to those who are driving while intoxicated.

Police charge 5 people after alleged armed robbery, death

Five people from Maryland are defendants in a case of murder that reportedly had to do with marijuana. According to the authorities, the accused individuals entered the home - supposedly with firearms in tow - of a 19-year-old man that one of them had recently made a drug deal with in North East, Maryland. It was then that the 19-year-old and three guests in his home were told to lie down on the floor. Witnesses said that one of the intruders then told the 19-year-old to hand something over, but he responded that he didn't have anything. This is when he was supposedly hit with a gun.
