3 arrested in Maryland on criminal charges

Maryland police have arrested a 35-year-old man from Cecil County in connection with two bank robberies in Harford County. According to state police, the man is divorced with two children and has other non-felonious charges pending. Public defenders have issued statements saying his previous charges were misdemeanors.

The man has been charged with theft, armed robbery and second-degree assault. He was booked in Bel Air and after a brief holding period at Harford County, was scheduled for a bail review. The judge held him without bail.

According to reports, a man matching the description of the suspect attempted to rob the PNC bank in Whiteford. He did not appear to brandish a weapon but gave a teller a note demanding money and left with an unknown amount of cash.

A man matching the same description carried out a similar robbery at another bank on Conowingo Road in Street. There were no injuries in either of the incidents. The man and his Toyota van were tentatively identified in bank surveillance videos.

Two other individuals were arrested in connection with actions of the 35 year-old-man, including a 39-year-old male and 28-year-old female. Tips from private citizens led to information culminating in alleged evidence against the three. Police arrested the Cecil County man at his home without further incident. They reportedly found a loaded firearm and drug paraphernalia.

At the home of the other two individuals, authorities allegedly uncovered the Toyota van believed to be connected to the robbery, a counterfeit $20 bill, a firearm and ammunition. The pair was arrested without incident. Police officials allege the van may have been used in the robberies. The other two individuals are felons and not permitted to possess a handgun.

Charges unrelated to the bank robberies were filed against them. The investigation is ongoing and further charges may be pending.

Felonies cannot be taken lightly. If you face criminal charges in Maryland, you need the assistance of an individual who can work aggressively to protect your rights. You can by benefit speaking with someone who can fight on your behalf to help you maintain your freedom and your future.
